Facebook Tips for Authors
- Create an author fan page — http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
- Make an Assistant or Virtual Assistant an Admin. Ask the new Admin to “like” your page and then click “Make Admin” next to their name.
- Feature your book on your author fan page using the application Static IFRAME Tab to
add a tab on your profile page that features your book cover and information. This could
also be your landing tab, the first thing people see when visiting — http://www.facebook.com/iframehost?sk=info - Post interesting content about your book. Do this once per day. Use videos, status updates, book reviews, author talks, book signings, interviews about the book, etc.
- Start a book club as an online FB book group with your friends/followers — discuss the book in the Discussions tab. Promote the Group on FB and elsewhere.
- Create a contest or promote a book giveaway on your wall using software like Rafflecopter

- Ask too for reviews on Amazon, on GoodReads or LibraryThing, or on their own social media.
- Create an event page on your website AND on a Facebook event page. Also create an Event at Eventbrite.com and other event websites. Create a targeted Facebook ad if you have any kind of budget.
